Cajado it's a geographical bridge of two creators. Joel Fausto resides in the northern region of Portugal, while Daniel Catarino calls the south his home. Despite the physical distance, the two have managed to weave their artistic talents together seamlessly, capturing the essence of their homeland with remarkable authenticity. "Anta do Livramento" is an offering to those who have left the serene landscapes of the countryside, only to find themselves nostalgic for the simplicity of rural life and what it makes truly remarkable is the way it melds traditional Portuguese elements with modern ambient sensibilities. The EP is a big collage, interweaving the raw, rustic sounds of the Alentejo countryside with delicate melodies that pay homage to the "Canto Alentejano," the traditional singing style of the region. It's a mesmerizing fusion of old and new, where ancient memories and modern spellings blend seamlessly.

They ground the music in a sense of place, connecting the listener to the land and its people. The field recordings serve as more than just background texture; they become characters in the story Cajado is telling. The voices of the countryside are the storytellers, the keepers of tradition, and the bearers of collective memory. They remind us of the beauty in simplicity, the profound wisdom of the elders, and the enduring spirit of a land steeped in tradition.
